Cycle from Christchurch along the Little River Railtrail before cycling over Gebbies Pass to Diamond Harbour. A ferry trip takes you over to Lyttleton before cycling back to Christchurch via Dyers Pass.

Designed as a nice relaxing way to enjoy the Canterbury Plains, the Little River Railtrail and the harbourside lifestyle of the beautiful Banks Peninsula. Your tour starts with cycling through Christchurch suburbs to the start of the Little River Railtrail. You’ll stay the night in the university town of Lincoln, before continuing along country roads and joining back up with the Railtrail. The ride skirts the flanks of ancient volcanoes, hugs the shores of Lake Ellesmere / Te Waihora and Lake Forsyth and ends in the picturesque farming village of Little River. Here, there is time for a late lunch before settling into your accommodation for the night. Little River has walking options or you can just relax before dinner. Day three sees you cycling over to Diamond Harbour via Gebbies Pass and alongside Lyttleton Harbour. On the last day you catch the ferry to the port town of Lyttleton before cycling over the Port Hills back to Christchurch.
Hybrid bike and pannier hire, helmet, computer, self guided notes and route information. Upgrade to a Garmin GPS computer for an additional $85. The Garmin is among the best computers on the market and will come pre-loaded with day-to-day route navigation to follow, and with live tracking you can even share your amazing riding experience to your friends and family!
