We start by crossing the Southern Alps and bike some of the quiet back-county trails around Lake Brunner. Afterwards it’s time for the main event…Snaking through the dense rainforests, glacial rivers, lakes and wetlands is the West Coast Wilderness Trail ‑ a graded cycle trail formed from a series of tracks originally carved by pioneering gold miners. After 4 days on the trail, we head back to Christchurch on the TranzAlpine Railway, one of the top 10 train journeys in the world.
Meals as listed, guides and support vehicle, accommodation and DOC fees. Please Note: a $50 surcharge is added to tours with a public holiday. Tree top walk and TranzAlpine Train optional extra at own cost.
